The 103 first-place votes that the Clemson Tigers received in the poll of 176 media members, which was announced on Tuesday, make them the preseason favorites to win the ACC in 2023.
In the last eight years, Dabo Swinney‘s squad has won the ACC title seven times, most recently last season. Florida State received 67 first-place votes, which was anticipated to rank them in second. North Carolina and NC State were two other teams predicted to win the ACC this autumn. The only other team to win the league since Clemson’s streak began in 2015 was Miami, which was selected fifth overall, ahead of Duke and Pitt.
